I didn't start writing seriously until after the birth of my second. I know no other way.

I didn't know what I wanted to write until, when I was preggy with number two, I picked up my first romance. A Presents. :-D

Maisey, I take my hat off to you. Three kids (well nearly 3!) under 5 would be enough to kill of anyone’s muse but go you for still writing! I think after my first was born I didn’t do any writing for at least a year! Hence the fact I’ve done my dash with only 2 kids. 😉

Hmmmm...that WOULD help things go faster. I have my rugrats at home with me all day. Oldest is 3 1/2 youngest is nearly 2 (both in diapers) and no. 3 is due in January, so I have my hands full!

I am envious of your uninterrupted writing time! I myself have learned to write with children (quite literally) hanging off my arm.

Kaily, I can recommend fast and furious. Turning off the internal editor is great – certainly gets things finished. Yes, you do have plenty of mess to clean up but at least there’s direction!
As to dross, don’t think it’s particularly Kiwi, but it means rubbish basically. 🙂

Congrats!! That's so awesome! I'm not exactly a fast writer; I like to edit too much while I'm writing. Then I still need to edit at the end. When I finish my current revisions, I think I'm going to try and write something the fast and furious way and see how it turns out!

And what is dross? I'm an aussie living in the US but these kiwi expressions sound like a foreign language :).
