Many thanks, Anne (and thanks also for dropping by the blog)! My husband cherishes fond hopes of some day being able to stop work and live on the millions I am going to earn. 🙂 Failing that, paying for my daughters’ University fees is a great idea. It’ll give me ten years to get that contract anyway. 😉

Happy very belated birthday, Jackie! It sounds as if you've had a good year. Hope this one becomes even better with a contract in it!

Husbands who support careers like ours are great men. Mine did, and he was ever so glad he had when the kids started university and we had my income by then to help pay for it.

Thanks Lacey, Lorraine and Romy! Just been out for a fantastic meal with the small god husband. All good.

Lacey, got a writing chapter group meeting so no writing will be done. Just hope I get to the meeting!

Lorraine, contract or not, I'm doing what I love so it as long as I'm continuing to do so, then that's okay by me.

Romy, I don't know a mother who DOESN'T feel that pull. Being able to be at home, and yet be able to write just works so well for our family. I can be with my children, help support my husband, and at the same time do what I've always wanted to do - I'm just so grateful to be able to do it. Plus the fact that writing was always my first love - in the end, it wasn't too much of a leap after all. :-)

I'm so glad you posted a bit about your past year. It's so nice to know that other mommies also feel the work-life pull, and that choosing life over work actually can work out so well!
