I’ve been thinking about the post up on the I Heart Presents blog about cliches. They’re tricky little beasts aren’t they? I mean, how on earth are you supposed to write a category romance avoiding all cliches? And not just category romance – any romance! Surely it’s impossible! 🙂
Well, no one said writing romance was going to be easy eh? And those that do will be first up against the wall when the revolution comes, let me tell you.
But, let’s face it, there’s nothing new under the sun. It’s all been written before and said before. I guess the thing that makes your story and your characters different is the way you write.
The trick is that no one has written it or said it quite like you. And that’s what makes it different. Your voice is your key to originality and that’s what will help sell you in the end.
