In my opinion, getting the emotional connection on the page is the key to everything else falling into place. But that's soooo hard to do!!

Elizabeth – hehe. No meth lab explosions in my mss. Yes, fighting and passion are exciting and yummy, but the spark comes from the emotional part of it as well as the physical. They fight because – unconsciously – this person threatens the integrity of their identity. And that’s scary.

I think you had the right idea with the fighting and the... well, you know. The thing is, both are derived from passion, and passion comes from a spark. The same spark that heats your home (or, well, homes that have gas heat) is the same spark that causes massive explosions in meth labs.

Of course, one is more preferred than the other. Just like in romance. ;-)
