I too got a Kindle this Christmas – woohoo! So unbelievably excited about it.

My brother has an iphone and loves it. He wants me to convert to it but with little kids around, I’m terrified someone will play with the phone and oops! Sorry mommy!

The Kindle is waaay, waaay up high.

Aussie, Fiji, Tonga…the whole South Pacific but NZ. Weird huh? It’s probably to do with our stupid Telecom company no doubt. Which is why I’m with Vodafone. The added bonus of this is that they’re the only telecomms company here that does the iPhone.

Kaily – That may be the way to do it. I haven’t tried. Should ask my Mum actually since she’s got the Kindle. But we can’t connect via the Kindle itself.

Yeah, I’m a techie toy kinda girl. I believe even though the wireless service is not available you can still order ebooks via Amazon.com and just sync the Kindle with your computer (rather than automatically and directly to the Kindle).

Jackie, I’m a bit confused. I thought Amazon was now shipping worldwide and I’ve just been looking but not buying at booksonboard and they’ve got a banner saying you can download books from their store into Kindle, so clearly there aren’t any restrictions. I favour booksonboard ‘cos their prices are lower and they offer discounts and rewards which accumulate with each purchase.
