I keep delaying my posts in the hope that I have something to tell you.
But I have nothing to tell you.
So to keep me going and to keep the crows at bay, here is Jean Claude Van Damme with my own personal mantra.
Maybe it’ll be this week.

Hugs, Jackie. Waiting’s so hard. And I know there’s nothing I can say to make it any easier.

Suzanne – a hug does the job nicely. ๐ Thanks!
Hugs from me too, Jackie.
I guess it’s even harder knowing that it’s on its way but not quite in your inbox yet.
Sri.
hugs a plenty Jackie – it’s gotta be soon, they even said so themselves!
Fingers crossed that this week is THE week.

Ah…Jean-Claude. Too funny…He’s gonna knock those revisions crows out!
Sri – thanks! Yeah, I guess I just have to suck it up. No other way to do it.
Joanne – Hopefully!
Maisey – he sure will. With a roundhouse.
And I’m sure JCVD would also, in addition to those kicks would finish those crows with a good dose of punches. Yeah. That’d teach them…
Hugs and virtual chocolate! Jean-Claude is an excellent scarecrow substitute.
We’re all waiting with you x
Awww, waiting is so hard! I waited six months on my full, so I feel for you!
I’m sure you’ll hear soon ๐
Ditch the angst demons, run them right out of town and plunge right into the heartland of 80s music… Something along the lines of Cindy Lauper’s Girls Just Want to Have Fun always gets me going and I’m not an 80s music lover, but when the going gets tough… needs must.
I’m hitting my special ‘get me out of this mood’ compilation right now. Works wonders.
Jackie – you KNOW I feel your pain! You know I get up early every morning/middle of the night sometimes to see if you’ve heard!! Hang in there. It just HAS to be good news!
xoxxo Rach!
Janette – I find he’s excellent when it comes to giving things a good punch in the nose. Escpecially the crows. There’s a poem in there…
Lacey – hugs and choccie all good. ๐ I’m waiting with you waiting with me. ๐
Leah – yeah, I know, 16 weeks isn’t much compared to some people. It’s more the being told ‘the next couple of weeks’. Serve me right for emailing them! ๐
Veronica – True! What about a bit of Wham? Flock of Seagulls – “And I ran…” That suits me today. ๐
Rach – lovie, I’m dying to hear so you don’t have to keep getting up! Maybe I should tell the ed that. Lol!
so exciting waiting for you! think of it as exciting, not hard, like pregnancy. I know it was horrible the last week because all you wanted was the darn baby to get out all ready but once it was there…bliss! hang on then it was all night feeding, but in this instance we are all expecting you will be accepted but if not, you have some fab stories ready to knock their socks off!!
More hugs Jackie. Feel as if you have been waiting forever!
Never mind – IT WILL be this week!
Thanks very much, Jackie.
You’ve made my day.
But hey, chin up, keep writing and remember: “Good things come to those who wait”!
I’ve just finished my historical so it’s all go on the editing front!!! That said, I managed to post a piece on “Research” and my findings, not to mention what fun it was.

Jackie, the waiting kills me too. All I can suggest is that a bright shiny new story – something completely different perhaps -might help you to NTAI for a portion of the day.
Crossing everything for you!
Kerrin – funny you should say that because it is like pregnancy! And I hated pregnancy. Lol! On the bonus side, this way I can still have wine. ๐ I’m hoping for bliss at the other end rather than sleepless nights too.
Susan – thanks! Yeah, it does feel like forever eh? Only four months though. Never thought I’d say that…
Francine – glad to make someone’s day. Yep, I’m concentrating on the ‘good things’ part. Well done re the historical! Good luck with the edits huh?
Robyn – thanks m’dear. Bright shiny new story huh? Thinking of anything in particular hmmm? ๐
Good for you, Jackie! It’s a pain for sure and I’m keeping everything crossed you hear something SOON!
Hugs from me too! Caroline x
Maya and Caroline – thanks guys! Could do with the hugs this morning. ๐
Why could you particularly do with a hug today? Did you hear back?
No news is good news … at least, it was for me until yesterday, lol.
Oh well. Two rejections on the same day. So it’s back to submissions time for me. Which means cracking out the next finished manuscript, dusting it down, getting some friends to give it a quick read-through, then sending it off and hoping for a Full request this time.
Hope your news is better … whenever it comes!
Jane – no didn’t hear back. That’s why I needed a hug. ๐ I’m bummed for you on those rejections, especially two in one day – but on the plus side, you did get some great feedback. I’m sure the next one will do it.
Jackie I’m doing the super pretzel that you hear very soon. My broadband is back, and planes are flying. Maybe this is all a good sign. Mountains can be moved. Crossing everything j
gurgle, Jean Claude. My favorite movie of his was one where he played twins separated at birth (can’t remember the title). The ad for it said in deep baritone:
Double the van damme, Double the van damage!
Sniggering just remembering it!
Sally – LOl! Gotta love JCVD. Double Impact was the twin movie I think. My favourite I’m afraid is Universal Soldier. With Dolph Lundgren! What is there not to like?? ๐
Hey Jackie, I don’t know you that well but if I had to guess, I’d say having nothing to say doesn’t happen to you very often. ๐ Hang in there!
